My dear, this is heartbreaking. A good reminder for us all to appreciate the people in our lives while we can…so thank you. The way you speak of your mother and the devastating experience of losing her is really gut-wrenching, but beautiful, and your gift for writing is apparent as always. I really hope you write a book someday. Hugs.

What a heartbreakingly beautiful letter. I know what else to call it because it feel like you're reaching out to a friend (or all of us friends) to share something deeply meaningful. I hope sharing this gave you some peace.

Thank you Chuck. In my work as in my life I'm growing more aware of the way child abuse can scar people. My mom was a beautiful soul and she struggled all her life to overcome the horrors of her childhood.

I am so very sorry. I love the photo--she was beautiful. And even if you never remember the dream she was sharing, you learned something invaluable: to be present, to treasure the moments with loved ones. Maybe more than anything, she wanted you to listen to your own dreams. ❤️

Your story reminds me of The Little Prince and his rose. Such bittersweet sadness here. And so much courage for you to share these precious inner details of your relationship with your mother. Thank you for that.
